Paul Fullagar - Chairman
Paul is a serial entrepreneur who has had over 23 years in the software industry after an early successful career in the City and International Shipping. He was chairman and principal shareholder of Staffware plc which he built up over 12 years. It became the leading international business process software company which was successfully sold to TIBCO. In addition he chaired Financial Objects plc, a banking software company, which he successfully sold to Temenos, and is currently chairman of Brady plc, a software company specialising in commodity trading. Paul has a number of strategic investments also in private IT companies, as well as a wide range of other business interests. He is a business graduate and Chartered Management Accountant. Paul holds a 19% share in paythru. -
Keith Brown – Managing Director
Keith is one of the founders of paythru. Prior to his current role, Keith ran a successful business in Financial Services marketing for 15 years called KBA Marketing. Formed at the end of 1990; the original concept was to develop financial services propositions to non-financial services organisations primarily predicated on the skills of database and direct marketing. Keith has also worked for Lloyds of London, BUPA, Target Life, Grattan and Next in a number of management roles covering disciplines such as legal, business systems, marketing and more. He is a law graduate and qualified Company Secretary. Outside of work, he is a Fulham FC fanatic and enjoys cricket and music. Keith holds a 19% share in paythru. -
Russell Sheffield – Director of Innovation & Development
Russell is one of the founders of paythru and the innovator of their software-as-a-service, m-commerce platform. In 2004 Russell launched CoverMe, with Keith Brown, to transact financial services directly through the mobile. In 2007 the company was renamed paythru, becoming the worlds first PCI DSS Level 1 m-commerce platform, using the unique technology that Russell developed and providing a global platform for impulsive, safe, secure transactions. Previously, Russell joined Car Telephone Installations which became Orange, set-up Tableau, a creative agency investing in new digital design & print technologies and started developing websites, working with Tesco and Dixons. He developed the transactional ticketing website for easyJet. Russell has spent his entire life experimenting with technology and anything he can program, pull apart or create. At school he started writing software on his father’s Apple ][ and experimenting with radio technologies through ‘Ham Radio’. Russell holds a 19% share in paythru. -
Mike Biddulph - Non-Executive Director
Mike is an experienced private equity and venture capital investor having transacted and managed a significant number of investments in UK companies. Mike was until October 2010, a partner at Promethean Investments LLP, a UK private equity firm which he co-founded in 2005. Previously, Mike was at Kleinwort Capital, a UK private equity investment manager operating in the mid-market. Mike has significant portfolio management expertise, having been a non-executive director on the board of six private equity backed businesses. He is currently a non-executive director of TIS Group Holdings Limited (a Promethean portfolio company) and remains a consultant to Promethean Investments LLP. In addition to Paythru, Mike has made investments in a wide range of businesses including smartphone software, data analytics, media and telecoms companies. Mike is also a member of Cambridge Capital Group, a leading business angel group that has been investing in hi-tech businesses for over ten years. Mike holds a 5% share in paythru. -
Mark Campion - Non-Executive Director
Mark joined Campion Willcocks & Associates Ltd in 1988 eventually taking over as Managing Director and assuming overall responsibility for the business in 1994. Today he works at senior executive and board level, managing relationships and helping clients to identify, understand and address the change management issues they face. Mark is an original investor in the US based NYLO Hotel chain. He is also an investor and Adviser to paythru, a specialist mobile payments provider and Active Navigation, an intelligent data archive software business. Mark is Vice Chairman of Fields in Trust (FTF), a FRIEND of the Mary Rose Trust and has recently joined the Advisory Board of Imagine Sports Limited. Passionate about his family, his work and rugby, Mark was appointed non-executive director of the RPA in 2003, helping them set strategy, define goals and measure success. He combines all roles with the much more nerve-wracking role of being a ‘touch-line Dad’. Mark holds a 2% share in paythru.
